An Antique 18th Century Oak Coffer Chest Blanket Box ~Delivery Available~

This is an antique 18th-century oak coffer chest, also known as a blanket box. It features panelled sides and a carved frieze along the top edge, adding a touch of detail to the otherwise simple design. The chest has a hinged lid and ample interior storage space, traditionally used for linens or blankets. The oak wood has a rich, deep tone, showcasing the natural grain.
 
The chest shows significant signs of age, including wear on the lid and base. There is visible woodworm damage on the feet which has left the back left foot missing and a support added to the underside (See pictures). The interior has darkened over time, and the hinges show wear but remain functional. Overall, the chest is structurally sound, with expected wear for its age and history. The worm is no longer active and hasn’t been for some time.
