This is an early Victorian mahogany linen press cupboard featuring a two-door upper cabinet with moulded panel fronts and an ornately carved cornice. The cabinet encloses multiple sliding linen trays, providing ample storage. Below the cupboard are four graduated drawers with brass drop handles, supported on bracket feet. The piece showcases a warm mahogany veneer with attractive grain patterns, adding elegance to its functional design.
The linen press is in fair condition, with visible signs of age and wear. There are areas of veneer loss, scratches, and surface marks. The right side is missing the trim between the top and base sections, and there are some losses to the fiddle moulding along the cornice towards the back of the item. One drawer handle is missing the decorative back plate shown in the pictures. Despite these imperfections, the piece remains sturdy and retains its character, making it a charming addition to any period interior.
